Safety & Quality Control Manager

As Safety & Quality Control Manager at Morris Builders, LLC, Jamye insures that all employees are incorporating best safe practices on each project to produce a productive and efficient completion. He holds a bachelor’s degree in American studies, with a minor in computer technology, from the University of Alabama Tuscaloosa (2014), from which he earned the prestigious “Alabama People to People” Award. He was additionally named to the National Scholars Honor Society.

Prior to Jamye’s tenure at Morris Builders, he served as an assistant branch manager at Hertz Car Rental Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he was responsible for conducting weekly and daily reports of business, and managing and controlling car fleet and transporter hours.

He interned for four months in 2014 at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute where he assisted the Director of Archives, and he also served for two years as a sales associate at the Tuscaloosa-based Home Depot. There, he was instrumental in maintaining the hardware department and training new associates.

Jamye was also student coach at the Prattville High School Athletic Department and played a lead role in coaching and insuring the success of freshman running backs on the football team. Earlier, he spent time as a carpenter, helping to frame doors and their trim for new constructions. He is also OSHA certified. He holds a Safety Management Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health from the Institute for Safety and Health Management and the National Safety Management Society.
